Teaching Assistant - Primary Schools - Haringey - Academic Support

Primary Schools in Haringey are seeking confident Teaching Assistant professionals who can support pupils academically across the primary curriculum. This Teaching Assistant role is particularly suited to candidates with strong subject knowledge in English, Maths, or related academic disciplines.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to ensure pupils remain engaged and supported in their learning. The successful Teaching Assistant will also assist with targeted interventions to help raise attainment.

Teaching Assistant Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils academically as a Teaching Assistant

• Working with small groups to improve attainment as a Teaching Assistant

• Supporting pupils with additional needs as a Teaching Assistant

• Assisting teachers with classroom organisation as a Teaching Assistant

• Encouraging positive behaviour and focus as a Teaching Assistant

• Supporting a range of year groups as a Teaching Assistant

This Teaching Assistant role provides flexible working opportunities and may develop into long-term Teaching Assistant positions depending on school needs.

Applicants must have an Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one through us.
