SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join an inclusive and nurturing team at a vibrant school . This role is ideal for someone with a passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a SEN Teaching Assistant:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
Help implement strategies outlined in Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
Work closely with the SENCO, class teachers and external professionals
Promote pupils’ independence, confidence and social development
Support children with emotional regulation, sensory needs or physical challenges where required
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant:
Experience working with children with SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, or SEMH
A calm, caring and flexible approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and families
A relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent) is desirable
A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection
