About the department
The Welbeck Central Pharmacy is a specialist clinical pharmacy service supporting a high-performing private day-case centre in London. The department works across a range of surgical and outpatient specialties, ensuring safe, efficient and patient-focused medicines management. It collaborates closely with consultants, clinical teams and supply chain partners to deliver timely access to medicines, maintain robust stock control, and support high standards of patient care.
About the role
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will support the delivery of a safe and efficient pharmacy service within the dispensary. You will be involved in dispensing medications, managing stock and supporting medicines supply across the centre. Working alongside the pharmacy team, you will help ensure patients receive the correct medicines promptly while maintaining high standards of safety, organisation and service quality.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and dispense prescriptions accurately under supervision
Provide patients with appropriate instructions when issuing medicines
Support stock control, including ordering, receiving and rotating stock
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dispensary
Process payments and support daily reconciliation procedures
Assist with stock top-up services to clinical areas
Record and maintain accurate dispensing and stock data
Report incidents, near misses and support safety improvements

About you
You are a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser with a strong focus on patient care and service delivery. You have good communication and organisational skills, and you are comfortable working in a busy dispensary environment. You take pride in accuracy, are able to follow procedures carefully, and are a supportive team member who is willing to learn and develop within the role.
You will also demonstrate:
· Relevant dispensing qualification
· Experience in a pharmacy or dispensary environment
· Good attention to detail and accuracy
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Ability to follow procedures and work safely
· Good organisational and time management skills
· Basic IT skills
· Willingness to learn and develop professionally
