CloserStill Media is excited to bring you the opportunity to kick-start your career in the events industry with our highly successful Sales Academy. With our proven track record of running entry-level programmes and nurturing young talent, you’ll be in safe hands alongside the event industry’s best commercial minds as you commence on your exciting sales career.
Successful candidates who enter our Sales Academy will embark on a 6-month journey in which they will develop and hone practical sales skills, take part in extensive training and flourish as professionals. You’ll benefit from a bespoke sales training plan delivered by a renowned commercial management consultancy and begin to truly understand the psychology of sales. You’ll be positioned within our telemarketing department where you’ll be able to put training to practice immediately by working on our exciting portfolio of award-winning events.
At the end of the Academy, provided you have passed all the relevant assessments, you will be offered the chance to step up onto one of our commercial teams. From there, the sky is the limit. You will not find this kind of opportunity anywhere else in the events industry.

THE ROLE:
As a Delegate Relationship Executive, you’ll be a key part of the team that delivers exceptional audiences for our world-class events. Here’s what a typical day in the role looks like:
- Start your day with purpose: Join the team meeting to set goals and get motivated.
- Power Hours: These are focused sessions (two in the morning, two in the afternoon) where you’ll connect with clients over the phone, inviting them to attend our events.
- Breaks to recharge: Take time to unwind with your colleagues in our communal breakout space.
- Team check-ins: Share progress and celebrate wins with your team after lunch.
- Client engagement: Use tools like LinkedIn, HubSpot and LiveBuzz to build relationships and manage event registrations.
You’ll gain hands-on experience with our industry-leading registration and CRM systems, setting you up with skills you can use throughout your career.
Responsibilities in the role will include, but are not limited to
- Participate in the bespoke training course and mentoring sessions.
- Attracting audience members to attend our portfolio of events utilising phones, LinkedIn, and personal emails.
- Researching and identifying attendees using various platforms.
- Scheduling calls and meetings with prospective delegates.
- Provide top-level customer service throughout the delegate journey events.
- Utilise our CRM and maintain the quality of our visitor data.
- Undergo regular assessments to gauge progress through the above-mentioned training course.
