Engineering Leader

We represent a leading industrial organization operating across diverse facilities and critical systems, currently undergoing significant transformation to enhance efficiency and reliability. We’re seeking an exceptional Engineering Leader to define our future engineering model and create greater consistency and functional excellence across our platform.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, this impactful role encompasses engineering strategy, infrastructure, reliability, asset performance, continuous improvement, and capital investment. You will lead central engineering and improvement initiatives while fostering a more integrated engineering function across multiple sites.

Success will depend equally upon building strong relationships and influencing stakeholders as it does upon technical expertise. You’ll enjoy bringing people together, influencing without relying solely upon hierarchy, and balancing long-term priorities with immediate operational needs.

This role is ideal for an engineering leader with extensive experience who thrives on challenges and making substantial contributions to a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the engineering strategy to align with organizational goals and objectives.
• Lead and manage central engineering and continuous improvement activities across multiple sites.
• Drive improvements to reliability, asset performance, and engineering standards.
• Oversee OPEX and CAPEX budgets and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Establish and maintain robust engineering infrastructure and processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize projects and initiatives.
• Champion safety and environmental stewardship within engineering operations.
• Identify and implement best practices to enhance engineering efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in engineering within complex asset-intensive environments (e.g., heavy industrial manufacturing, utilities, infrastructure, chemicals, energy-intensive manufacturing).
• Chartered or professionally qualified engineering credentials.
• Strong electrical and/or multi-disciplinary engineering expertise.
• Experience operating across matrix organizations and managing multiple stakeholder groups.
• Demonstrated ability to improve reliability, asset performance, and engineering standards.
• Experience leading engineering within a complex operational environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
