In this full-time role, you will lead the premises team in managing daily site operations, security, health and safety compliance, and planned preventative maintenance across all campus facilities.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in site management, facilities supervision, or estate management, preferably within an educational or large commercial environment.

• Technical & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of statutory compliance regulations, including fire safety, water hygiene (Legionella), COSHH, and asbestos management, backed by relevant qualifications (e.g., IOSH).

• Practical Skills: Solid hands-on capability in general building maintenance, fault diagnosis, and contract management for major works.

• Leadership & Organization: Excellent team leadership skills to manage site staff and caretakers effectively, alongside strong budget management and administrative skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the overall security, maintenance, heating, lighting, and cleanliness of all school buildings and grounds.

• Maintain complete statutory compliance documentation, conducting routine risk assessments, safety inspections, and system tests.

• Supervise site caretakers, cleaning personnel, and external contractors, ensuring high standards of workmanship and adherence to safeguarding protocols.

• Plan and execute long-term preventative maintenance schedules and manage site improvement projects alongside senior operational leads.
