Attendance Officer
An Outstanding Secondary School in Richmond upon Thames is seeking a dedicated and organised Attendance Officer to join its highly successful pastoral team. This is a key role within the school and offers an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact on student outcomes and wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring attendance and punctuality across the school, ensuring that attendance records are maintained accurately and that effective interventions are implemented where concerns arise.
You will work closely with students, parents, pastoral leaders and external agencies to improve attendance and remove barriers to learning. The role will involve daily attendance monitoring, first-day absence calls, attendance analysis, reporting and supporting attendance improvement strategies.
Strong communication skills are essential as you will regularly engage with families and support students in maintaining high levels of attendance. The ability to analyse data, identify trends and contribute to targeted interventions will be an important part of the role.
