Key Responsibilities:
- Leading the strategic development of SEN provision across the school, ensuring that all children with SEND are fully supported to achieve their academic and personal goals.
- Coordinating the identification, assessment, and provision for children with SEN, working closely with teachers, parents, external agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Providing guidance and support to staff in implementing effective teaching strategies and accommodations to meet the diverse needs of children with SEND.
- Collaborating with the senior leadership team to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice in SEN provision.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in SEN coordination or a relevant SEN qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of SEND legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and empower colleagues to deliver high-quality SEN provision.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and equality of opportunity for all children, regardless of their individual needs or backgrounds.
