SENCo - Make a Difference to Inclusive Education in Fulham!
SENCo required for a January start
Established school based in Fulham
Opportunity to oversee and strengthen the school's SEND provision
Collaborative working environment with access to senior leadership and pastoral teams
Ideal for an experienced SENCo or an ambitious SEND professional with the appropriate qualifications
Our client is looking to appoint a committed and forward-thinking SENCo to join a supportive school in Fulham from January. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who is passionate about inclusion, understands the diverse needs of learners and is keen to make a meaningful contribution to whole-school development. The successful candidate will take responsibility for coordinating provision for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring that support is carefully planned, appropriately delivered and regularly reviewed.
The role will involve working closely with class teachers, subject specialists, teaching assistants and pastoral staff to ensure that pupils with SEND can access the curriculum and participate fully in school life. The successful candidate will help identify barriers to learning, coordinate appropriate interventions and advise colleagues on effective strategies for supporting pupils with communication difficulties, learning differences, social and emotional needs and other additional requirements.
A significant aspect of the position will be maintaining effective communication with parents and carers. The SENCo will help families understand the support available to their children, coordinate discussions about pupil progress and work with relevant external professionals where additional advice or specialist intervention is required. The postholder will also oversee the review of support arrangements, contribute to EHCP processes where applicable and ensure that documentation meets the school's statutory and organisational requirements.
The school is seeking someone who is approachable, resilient and well organised, with the ability to balance strategic responsibilities with the practical demands of SEND coordination. The ideal candidate will be confident advising colleagues, monitoring provision and using evidence of pupil progress to inform decisions about future support.
School Information:
Located in Fulham, the school provides an opportunity to work within an established educational setting that values high-quality teaching, positive relationships and the individual development of its pupils. The successful candidate will join colleagues who recognise the importance of identifying needs early and providing appropriate support so that pupils can develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging.
The SENCo will have an important role in helping the school maintain a consistent approach to inclusion, supporting staff development and strengthening communication between the school, families and external agencies. There will be opportunities to review existing practices, share effective strategies and contribute to wider school improvement initiatives.
For an experienced SEND professional looking for a fresh challenge, this role offers the chance to combine professional leadership, collaboration and direct impact on pupil outcomes.
