Midweight Designer
For a quarter of a century, the Jellycat family have brought joy, wonder and playful fun to people of all ages, in every part of the world. Utterly original and in a class of their own, they are currently among the most loved and collected toys of their kind. How has this gentle tribe endeared themselves to so many? Perhaps it is their whimsical expressions. Or the deliciously soft fabrics. Or the beautiful way in which they sit in your hand. Whatever it is, there is something magical and unmistakeable about each one of them.
This is an exciting role for someone who wants to be part of our expanding creative team, as we develop and refine our high-end creative output.
As a Designer within the Creative team, you will play an important supporting role in shaping Jellycat’s creative marketing. With a strong focus on digital assets for campaigns, this role involves designing engaging and consistent outputs across web, email, and digital advertising.
You’ll work closely with the Head of Creative and Copy, alongside senior designers and copywriters, to bring the Jellycat brand to life across digital platforms helping shape engaging, joyful creative at every touchpoint.
This is a fast-paced role and the successful candidate will need to be adept at juggling multiple projects and ad-hoc requests with ease. A friendly team player, you’re always open to feedback (crucial – there is a lot) and come to brainstorms brimming with ideas. Equally, you should feel comfortable working on your own, managing your time efficiently.
Please add your portfolio either via a link on your CV or by using the additional files section on the application form.
You'll be;
- Collaborative in working with the Creative and Marketing teams to translate brand standards and campaign ideas into visually engaging designs.
- Designing and preparing digital assets for use across website, email, and paid media.
- Creating visually appealing layouts for email campaigns that align with brand messaging and drive engagement.
- Assisting in designing digital advertising materials that capture attention and communicate key messages effectively.
- Working closely with senior designers and copywriters to ensure consistency, quality, and timely delivery across all creative projects.
- Optimising assets for different platforms and formats, ensuring visuals are both beautiful and functional.
You'll have;
- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) in Graphic Design, Digital Design, or a related field.
- 6+ years of industry experience, ideally within a digital or creative marketing environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, layout, typography, and visual storytelling — with clear examples of digital campaign work.
- High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and working knowledge of Figma or similar tools.
- A strong understanding of how design, and marketing objectives work together to elevate brand and customer experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- A proactive mindset, who is self-motivated and confident taking ownership of projects from concept to delivery.
- Clear communication skills, able to present ideas effectively and contribute to cross-functional discussions.
- Passion for creativity, brand storytelling, and producing joyful, high-quality design that reflects Jellycat’s distinctive character.
