Sessional Football Coach – Advanced Development Programme (ADP)
Contract: Sessional Contract
Hours: Varied (Evening Sessions)
Salary: £15–£20 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Location: Various venues across North West and West London
About the Advanced Development Programme (ADP)
The QPR Community Trust Advanced Development Programme (ADP) provides talented young players with the opportunity to train within a high-quality coaching environment that bridges the gap between grassroots football and the professional academy pathway.
The programme is designed for players who demonstrate the commitment, attitude and ability to further develop their game through additional coaching. Delivered by experienced UEFA-qualified coaches, sessions focus on developing technically proficient, tactically intelligent and confident players in a challenging, enjoyable and player-centred environment.
Players are regularly monitored throughout the season, with opportunities to progress into our Performance Development Programme (PDP) and wider player development pathway.
About the Role
QPR Community Trust is seeking enthusiastic, knowledgeable and highly motivated football coaches to join our Advanced Development Programme coaching team.
Successful applicants will deliver high-quality coaching sessions that reflect the QPR Community Trust coaching philosophy, creating a positive learning environment where every player is challenged, supported and encouraged to reach their potential.
Current Coaching Opportunities
We are currently recruiting coaches to deliver ADP sessions at our venues across North West and West London.
Availability is required on one or more of the following evenings:
Monday evenings – Willesden
Tuesday evenings – Greenford
Wednesday evenings – Chiswick
Thursday evenings – Shepherds Bush
Additional coaching opportunities may become available throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, high-quality football coaching sessions in line with the QPR Community Trust coaching curriculum.
Plan, prepare and evaluate sessions appropriate to the age and ability of players.
Support the technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social development of players.
Create a safe, inclusive and enjoyable learning environment where players can develop and thrive.
Observe, monitor and record player development, providing feedback where appropriate.
Maintain accurate attendance records and complete any required administration.
Work collaboratively with fellow coaches and programme staff to ensure consistency across the ADP.
Uphold safeguarding procedures and comply with all QPR Community Trust policies and procedures.
Represent QPR Community Trust professionally and positively at all times.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Ability to motivate, inspire and engage young players.
Experience coaching children and young people within grassroots, academy or player development environments.
Good understanding of long-term player development principles.
Ability to adapt coaching sessions to suit different ages and abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider coaching team.
Essential Qualifications
UEFA C Licence (minimum requirement)
UEFA B Licence (desirable)
FA Introduction to First Aid in Football (or equivalent)
FA Safeguarding Children qualification
Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
Experience working within an academy, Advanced Development Programme or similar player development environment.
Experience delivering player assessments and providing individual feedback.
Full UK Driving Licence and access to transport.
