Part-time Governess/Tutor in London, Job ID J20A58
A lovely family in Chelsea, London is looking for a Part-Time Governess or Tutor with the following requirements:
Requirements:
- Proven teaching experience at Early Primary level (essential)
- Experience preparing children for 7+ examinations (essential)
- Confident, proactive, and able to take initiative
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Warm, professional, and confident in setting boundaries
- Excellent communication skills
Working hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday, 2:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Duties include:
- Provide tailored academic support in line with the Early Primary curriculum.
- Prepare the eldest child for 7+ entrance exams through structured lessons and practice.
- Support both children’s learning through engaging, age-appropriate educational activities.
- Assist with homework and reinforce classroom learning.
- Encourage strong learning habits, independence, and organisation.
- Maintain a tidy and organised environment (toys, school materials, clothing).
- Oversee after-school routines, including snack preparation and settling into evening structure
- Promote good manners, positive behaviour, and clear, consistent boundaries.
