The Chancery Rosewood – opening in Summer 2025, a Rosewood Hotel Group property, is housed in the iconic former U.S. Embassy on Grosvenor Square, reimagined by British architect Sir David Chipperfield. It will include 144 spacious suites designed by Joseph Dirand, including a variety of dining and entertainment spaces: providing a stage for progressive ideas, voices and expression.

We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and proactive Senior Event Operations Houseperson to support the seamless setup and breakdown of events at The Chancery Rosewood. From elegant banquets to private boardroom functions, you will play a key role behind the scenes in creating beautifully presented spaces that align with our standards of luxury, precision, and grace. You will also support the wider team by mentoring junior colleagues and helping to ensure all event spaces are prepped and maintained to perfection.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and breakdown of all meeting, banquet, and event spaces according to event orders and guest specifications.

• Ensure furniture, equipment, linen, and décor are placed with accuracy and care, maintaining the highest standards of presentation.

• Liaise closely with the Events, Banqueting, and Engineering teams to ensure timely preparation of event spaces.

• Train and support Housepersons and porters to uphold service and presentation expectations.

• Respond quickly and professionally to last-minute changes or on-site requests.

• Maintain storerooms and inventory in an organised and accessible manner.

• Ensure safe use and handling of all equipment, reporting maintenance issues promptly.

• Follow all hotel policies and procedures, especially those relating to manual handling, safety, and security.

• Take pride in the details that contribute to a polished and refined guest experience.

About You:

• You have previous experience in luxury hospitality, banqueting, or event setup.

• You are physically confident, with a strong sense of pace, care, and organisation.

• You take ownership of your work and lead others by example.

• You’re proud of being part of a team that works behind the scenes to make magic happen.

• You’re dependable, hands-on, and take initiative to get the job done beautifully and safely.
