This welcoming all-through school in Kenley is seeking a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its team from September 2025. With very small class sizes, every student receives personalised attention. Staff are warm, collaborative and committed to helping every child reach their full potential.
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work with pupils across different age ranges, gaining unique experience in both primary and secondary settings. This personalised approach means you’ll be able to make a real difference to individual learners while developing your own skills and confidence in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
As a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering high-quality and engaging Maths lessons
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to students’ individual needs
- Help pupils stay focused, motivated, and confident in their Maths learning
- Build positive relationships with learners across different key stages
- Contribute to extracurricular activities such as Maths clubs or enrichment workshops
- Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
Who We’re Looking For
To thrive as a Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant, you should have:
- A 2:1 or higher in Mathematics or a closely related degree
- A genuine passion for Maths and the ability to share it with young learners
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and supportive approach to learning and problem-solving
- An interest in progressing into teacher training or education as a long-term career
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
