AM Operations Manager (M-F / 06:00 - 14:00) | Derbyshire | £52,000 The Role An established logistics and distribution business in Derbyshire is looking to recruit an experienced AM Operations Manager to oversee its 06:00 - 14:00 warehouse operation. The successful candidate will lead operational teams, drive performance across productivity, service and cost, and ensure customer expectations are consistently achieved within a fast-paced 3PL environment. Key responsibilities Taking full responsibility for warehouse operations across the 06:00 - 14:00 shift Leading, coaching and developing operational managers, supervisors and team leaders Driving performance across productivity, service levels, labour efficiency and operational KPIs Overseeing inbound, storage, picking, packing and dispatch activities Managing labour planning, resource allocation and operational costs Ensuring contractual service levels and customer expectations are consistently achieved Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and operational compliance Working closely with customer-facing teams and wider operational stakeholders Identifying and implementing Continuous Improvement initiatives across warehouse processes Developing a positive, accountable and high-performing operational culture Key experience Proven experience as an Operations Manager, Warehouse Operations Manager, Shift Operations Manager or similar leadership position Previous experience working within a 3PL (Third-Party Logistics) environment is essential Strong background managing fast-paced, high-volume warehouse and distribution operations Experience leading sizeable operational teams through supervisors and team leaders Strong understanding of customer SLAs, contractual KPIs and service delivery within a 3PL environment Experience managing labour budgets, productivity and operational costs Good working knowledge of warehouse management systems and operational reporting Demonstrable success delivering Continuous Improvement and operational efficiencies Strong Health & Safety knowledge and experience maintaining operational standards A hands-on, commercially aware leadership style with excellent people management skills The opportunity would suit an experienced warehouse operations leader with a proven 3PL background who enjoys taking ownership of a busy shift, developing operational teams and delivering consistently high levels of service.
