Morris & Spottiswood has exclusively partnered with Irwin and Colton to appoint a Head of Quality & Compliance. This role will provide strategic leadership, governance and assurance across Quality and Compliance throughout the wider Morris & Spottiswood Group.

The Morris & Spottiswood Group comprises eight specialist businesses delivering end-to-end construction, fit-out, engineering, manufacturing, architectural and specialist services to clients across the UK. Built on generations of experience and family ownership, the Group combines the capability and expertise of its individual businesses with a collaborative, client-focused approach. Operating across multiple sectors including commercial, retail, healthcare, education, public sector and manufacturing, the Group continues to expand its nationwide presence and service offering.

This role offers a unique opportunity to influence Quality and Compliance strategy across a diverse portfolio of businesses, supporting consistency, continuous improvement and regulatory excellence while recognising the specific operational requirements of each business unit. With operations throughout the UK, the role can be based from any of the Group's principal offices, including Glasgow, Warrington, Whitstable (Kent) and London, with travel to other Group locations as required.

The key responsibilities include:

Leading the Group's Quality and Compliance strategy and providing advice across the business.
Owning and continuously improving the Integrated Management System (IMS).
Leading internal and external audits, certification activities and ensuring effective close-out of non-conformances.
Monitoring regulatory and legislative requirements and ensuring the business remains compliant with relevant standards. The successful candidate will have:

Significant senior experience in Quality and Compliance within an HSQE environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO management systems, with ISO 9001 essential and ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 desirable.
Proven experience leading audits, certification and compliance activities.
Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive continual improvement.
