Planning Associate

Role Overview:Exceptional opportunity for a Planning Associate to join dynamic London team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advising clients on complex planning issues, navigating the intricacies of planning law, and contributing to high-profile projects across various sectors. - Provide expert legal advice on planning law matters to clients, including local authorities, developers, and landowners.
- Draft and review planning applications, appeals, and related documents, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and policies.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on planning regulations and policies, staying updated on changes in the law.
- Represent clients in planning inquiries and hearings, presenting compelling arguments and evidence.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to develop strategies for securing planning permissions and addressing challenges.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including preparing proposals and participating in client presentations.
- Mentor junior associates and interns, fostering a culture of learning and professional growth within the team.
- Participate in seminars, workshops, and conferences to enhance visibility and knowledge in the planning field.
Qualifications:
- A qualified associate with experience in planning law.
- Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and procedures, with experience in contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A proactive, solution-oriented approach, demonstrating initiative and creativity in problem-solving.
