We are currently recruiting for a PR Manager with excellent news sense and a strong network of press contacts, on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This hybrid role will be based in our London office.
Reporting to the Senior PR Strategy Manager and working with the in-house PR team, PR agency and colleagues across the Group, the role will help the PR team grow share of voice vs its peers in tier 1 media, support research campaigns, and protect and promote Royal London’s reputation in the media across a broad variety of channels and outlets, while also analysing and measuring the effectiveness of PR activity.

About the role
- Plan and execute PR campaigns that align with our brand's goals and values.
- Craft compelling content including creating and distribute press releases, articles, and content which captivates our audience.
- Support the Senior PR Strategy Manager to develop the PR strategy, ensuring business needs are met and aligned to corporate positioning.
- Lead the delivery of key elements of the strategy that support the commercial activity of business areas to drive positive, on message coverage in the national, broadcast and trade press.
- Support PR activity at a Group level and across UK, as needed.
- Develop positive and productive relationships with a broad range of national, broadcast and trade journalists.
- Build excellent relationships with stakeholders across the Group, partnering with business areas or business initiatives as required.
About you
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Enjoy networking and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- An eye for detail and ensure that all communications are polished and professional.
- Experience working in and understanding of financial services, ideally in the pensions, consumer finance, sectors
- Experience of managing compelling media campaigns.
- Excellent media relations skills and good relationships with a range of journalists.
- Ability to monitor and report on campaign effectiveness and risks.
