We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conference & Events Operations Manager to join our team. This role is integral to ensuring the smooth delivery of conferences, exhibitions, and events, maintaining the highest standards of service and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for delivering memorable experiences.

Conference and Events Manager – The role
As a Conference & Events Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of event operations, leading and developing your event team to deliver outstanding service. You will manage people, health & safety compliance, financial performance, and client relations, while driving operational excellence and supporting growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who can balance operational detail with each events unique vision.
What we’re looking for
- Lead, motivate, and develop the operations team to deliver exceptional service across all events.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company regulations, embedding a strong safety culture.
- Manage financial performance through cost control, reporting and staff scheduling,
- Support client relationships with our Sales & Events Team, ensuring all requirements are met before, during, and after events.
- Take ownership of the planning of your events, liaising with all relevant internal departments to ensure that all areas of your event needs are met.
- Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and provide detailed feedback to continuously improve service.
- Uphold company standards, policies, and values, ensuring operational excellence at all times.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, finance, logistics, and HR, to achieve shared goals.
Key Attributes & Experience
- Experience in a demanding hospitality, events, or food & beverage environment (essential).
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong client and customer focus with a passion for service excellence.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt, innovate, and lead through change.
- Collaborative, enthusiastic, and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience in conference & banqueting, meeting and events or stand catering operations.
