Qualified Core Subjects Tutor - Outreach (English, Maths & Science) Location: Barking and Dagenham Hours: 10-15 hours per week Start Date: ASAP Pay: From £25 per hour About the Role Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated, experienced and qualified Outreach Tutor to deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in English, Maths and Science to young people not currently attending mainstream education in Barking and Dagenham. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking to move away from the classroom and make a direct impact through personalised, engaging lessons. The role involves working closely with pupils-many of whom may have been out of education for some time-to rebuild their confidence, reignite their interest in learning, and support academic progression. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver bespoke 1:1 sessions in core subjects (English, Maths, Science) to learners aged 11-16. Assess learning gaps and create structured, engaging sessions to meet individual needs. Build strong, positive relationships to encourage re-engagement with education. Monitor and report on progress regularly. Collaborate with Prospero Teaching and other professionals.Ideal Candidate Holds QTS, PGCE, QTLS or equivalent UK teaching qualification. Has experience delivering lessons in a UK school setting (minimum 6 months).
