SEN Teaching assistant
Academics is proud to be working with a warm, inclusive primary school in Wandsworth, who are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from November.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural challenges. Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO, you’ll play a key role in helping every child feel supported, encouraged, and able to thrive.
Role Overview:

Location: Primary School, Wandsworth

Start Date: November
*
Contract: Full-time, Monday–Friday
*
Salary: £95–£105 per day (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
*
Provide personalised 1:1 support for a nursery child with SEN, such as Autism and ADHD
*
Promote positive behaviour and inclusive learning strategies
*
Help create a nurturing, engaging, and supportive classroom environment
*
Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to monitor and support pupil progress
About You:
*
Experience supporting children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)
*
A passionate and committed Teaching Assistant who wants to make a real difference
*
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*
Patient, proactive, and compassionate in your approach
