The Role

This is an entry-level Accounts Receivable Assistant role supporting cash collection and the day-to-day operations of the AR department. Ideal for a recent Accounting graduate or someone looking to gain their first practical finance experience.

The role also offers exposure to wider finance functions and project work, providing excellent development opportunities within a collaborative environment.

Hybrid working with a requirement to attend the Central London office at least once per week.

Key Responsibilities

· Accounts Receivable Management . Maintain international accounts receivables ledger and related reporting.

· Credit Control . Manage the credit control inbox, resolve invoice queries, and issue suspension letters/statements.

· Invoicing . Create, amend, review, and send invoices; support ad hoc and renewal invoicing.

· Credit Notes . Issue and review credit notes as needed.

· Stakeholder Collaboration . Liaise with Client Services and Sales teams to resolve account and payment issues.

· Payment Processing . Allocate payments, post cash entries, match payments, and prepare cheques for deposit.

· Bank Reconciliations . Perform daily and weekly bank reconciliations and maintain the payment tracker.

· Platform Management . Activate, suspend and lapse customer accounts across the Sedex platforms.

· Reporting Support . Assist with month-end reporting and provide data for the year-end audit.

· System & Compliance Support . Support system upgrades, vendor documentation, and ensure invoice and member data accuracy.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

· Foundational Experience. Ideal for a recent graduate or AAT-qualified candidate looking to begin a career in accounting.

· Strong Communication Skills. Able to communicate professionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.

· Excellent Organisation Skills. Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

· Proactive and Self-Motivated. Takes initiative and works well within a dynamic team.

· Adaptable. Comfortable in an evolving environment with changing responsibilities.

· Attention to Detail. High level of accuracy in data entry and financial documentation.

· Technical Proficiency. Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
