Job Description:

Customer is seeking a highly skilled SAP Patching Specialist with expertise in SAP Basis, SAP ABAP, and SAP Security to manage patching, upgrades, and compliance activities across SAP landscapes. The role involves planning and executing patching schedules, applying security notes, and ensuring system integrity while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform SAP patching activities including kernel upgrades, support package implementation, and SAP Notes application.
• Apply ABAP patches and transports to maintain system functionality and performance.
• Implement SAP Security patches, including role adjustments and vulnerability remediation.
• Coordinate with development teams for ABAP corrections and testing post-patching.
• Ensure compliance with customer’s security standards and audit requirements.
• Maintain detailed documentation for patching procedures and change requests.
• Collaborate with OS, DB, and security teams for integrated patching activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to patching, upgrades, and security.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience in SAP Basis administration (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI, Solution Manager).
• Hands-on experience with SAP kernel upgrades, SPAM/SAINT, and SUM tool.
• Proficiency in ABAP patching, transport management, and performance tuning.
• Expertise in SAP Security concepts, including user administration, role design, and GRC compliance.
• Knowledge of SAP HANA patching and database upgrades.
• Familiarity with OS-level patching (Linux/Unix) and integration with SAP systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in large-scale SAP environments with multiple systems and clients.
• Knowledge of cloud-based SAP deployments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• SAP Certification in Basis, ABAP, or Security.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and compliance.
