Legal & Contracts Manager
Purpose of the Role
The Legal and Contracts Manager will provide practical legal and contractual support across EVORA, with a focus on simplifying legal processes and reducing complexity. The role will ensure that client, supplier, and partner agreements are managed efficiently, align with EVORA’s commercial objectives, and mitigate risk while enabling business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management and Advice
Review, draft, and negotiate client and supplier contracts, ensuring alignment with EVORA’s commercial interests and risk profile.
Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders, translating legal concepts into accessible language.
Maintain and improve EVORA’s suite of standard contracts and templates to drive consistency and simplicity.
Support teams in contract interpretation, dispute avoidance, and resolution where needed.
Partner and Network Support
Draft and negotiate partnership agreements, master service agreements (MSAs), and other collaboration contracts within EVORA’s partner network.
Advise on partnership structures and commercial risk allocation across multiple jurisdictions.
Support the ongoing governance and renewals of partner agreements.
Cross-Jurisdictional and General Legal Support
Support contract activity across EVORA’s operating regions, including the UK, EU, North America and other international markets.
Liaise with external counsel when specialist jurisdictional advice is required, managing cost and ensuring alignment with EVORA’s objectives.
Provide guidance on wider legal matters affecting the business, including data protection, intellectual property, employment, and corporate compliance, referring to external experts where appropriate.
Process and Continuous Improvement
Simplify and streamline EVORA’s legal processes to improve speed and ease of doing business.
Develop practical guidance and training materials to support non-legal teams in managing contract risk.
Maintain an organised contract repository and ensure contract renewals and obligations are monitored effectively.
Skills and Experience
Paralegal qualification or equivalent legal training and experience.
Demonstrated experience in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
Familiarity with working across multiple jurisdictions.
Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to convey complex legal issues in plain language.
Detail-oriented with sound judgement and a pragmatic, business-focused mindset.
Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities.
Desirable
Experience in professional services, sustainability, or technology sectors.
Knowledge of data protection and intellectual property law.
Experience supporting international entities or networks.
