The team you’ll work with:
The Events & Partnerships team sits with Marketing, which is part of HSBC Innovation Banking UK's Commercial Organisation. The Commercial Organisation includes the Innovation Markets Team, the Treasury and Trade Solutions Team, the Proposition, Pricing & Enablement Team, the Marketing Team, the Product Management Teams and the Corporate Communications Team.

HSBC Innovation Banking UK is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Events Manager to lead the development and execution of high-impact events that strengthen our brand, deepen client relationships, and support business growth across the innovation economy. This role will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of events.
What you can expect to be doing:
Events Strategy and Planning
- Develop and execute a comprehensive events strategy aligned with business objectives, marketing priorities, and client engagement goals
- Identify opportunities to create impactful experiences that enhance brand awareness, generate leads, and strengthen client relationships
- Manage a calendar of events across multiple business segments and markets
Event Delivery and Execution
- Lead the end-to-end management of events, from concept development and budgeting through execution and post-event analysis
- Deliver a portfolio of events, ensuring a consistently high-quality attendee experience
- Oversee venue sourcing, contract negotiation, logistics, production, registration, catering, technology platforms, and on-site operations
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, run-of-show documents, and contingency plans
Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with senior leaders, relationship managers, marketing, communications, public affairs, PR, product teams, and external partners to deliver strategic events
- Build strong relationships with ecosystem partners and venture capital firms
Budget & Vendor Management
- Manage event budgets ensuring cost-effective delivery and strong return on investment
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with venues, agencies, production companies, and other suppliers
- Ensure compliance with HSBC procurement, risk, and governance requirements
Measurement & Reporting
- Define event success metrics and KPIs aligned to business objectives
- Analyze attendee feedback, pipeline influence, lead generation, and engagement data
- Provide post-event reporting and recommendations for continuous improvement
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all events comply with HSBC policies, regulatory requirements, brand standards, and risk management procedures
- Manage event-related risk assessments and operational controls
- Maintain high standards of governance, data privacy, and supplier management
Requirements:
- Extensive experience managing complex corporate events, preferably within financial services, technology, professional services, or B2B environments
- A keen interest in the innovation ecosystem
- Proven experience delivering executive-level events, conferences, and client engagement programmes
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Demonstrated experience managing large event budgets and vendor relationships
- Experience working with senior executives and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with CRM, event management, and marketing automation platforms
- Experience within venture capital, technology, fintech or innovation focus sectors is preferred

Our home office in Finsbury Square, London. We offer hybrid working to our employees, so you can flex between home and the office, with a current requirement to be in the office 2 days per week
