Daily Rate: £90-£110 per day

About the Role

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets is looking to appoint a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a Lower Key Stage 2 (LKS2) pupil with Autism (ASD). The role will begin on 3rd November and is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a child's educational journey.

The successful Teaching Assistant will help the student access learning, manage transitions, and develop confidence and independence within the classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one classroom support for a pupil with Autism in LKS2.

• Implement strategies to support engagement, focus, and emotional regulation.

• Encourage participation in lessons and social interaction with peers.

• Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and wider support team.

• Support sensory and communication needs where required.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally with Autism (ASD) support experience.

• Patient, understanding, and proactive approach.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to adapt to the pupil's needs and maintain consistency.
