EMEA Financials Trader, AVP/ VP
We are seeking an Assistant Vice President (AVP)/ Vice President (VP) for a Spread Financials Trader position within our dynamic Spread Products trading team. This role offers a compelling opportunity to contribute directly to the profitability and market presence of Citi's Markets division. The successful candidate will be instrumental in managing and optimizing trading strategies within spread financials, utilizing sophisticated analytical tools and market insights. This is an exciting chance to operate within a fast-paced, high-impact environment, directly influencing market outcomes and developing expertise in complex financial instruments.
Primary Responsibilities of the role- Execute proprietary trading strategies focusing on spread financials across various asset classes, optimizing for risk and return.
- Manage and monitor a portfolio of spread financial positions, adjusting strategies in response to market movements, economic data, and geopolitical events.
- Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify market inefficiencies and opportunities within spread financial products.
- Collaborate with sales, structuring, and research teams to generate actionable trading ideas and provide market color to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and implement automated trading tools and models to enhance trading efficiency and optimize execution.
- Ensure all trading activities adhere strictly to internal risk limits, regulatory requirements, and compliance policies.
- Proven experience (2-5 years) in a trading role within a financial institution, with a focus on spread financial products or related derivatives.
- Strong understanding of financial markets, macroeconomic principles, and quantitative trading strategies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java for data analysis and algorithmic trading model development.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make rapid, informed decisions under pressure.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science, or a related highly analytical field.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a high-intensity, team-oriented environment, coupled with strong communication skills.
