Building and Project Consultancy Placement 2027
About this role
As a sandwich placement student, you will receive the same exposure as a graduate. You will gain experience across all disciplines of Building & Project Consultancy including technical due diligence, dilapidations, building surveying, project management, neighbourly matters and planned preventative maintenance. Through undertaking building surveys, dilapidation inspections, project progress site visits and client meetings – together with the preparation of reports, dilapidation assessments and the design and specification of tender documents – no two days are the same.
Project Management
Our national team of project managers bring together specialists from every property sector and market, enabling us to apply both sector-specific knowledge and broad industry expertise across office, industrial, logistics, mixed-use, retail, residential and development projects. Drawing on backgrounds in Chartered Building Surveying, Project Management and Structural Engineering, we deliver a truly national service. Our project management teams support investors, developers, landlords, owner-occupiers and tenants, overseeing the development, refurbishment and fit out of properties across a diverse range of sectors. We provide comprehensive project and programme management services, including employer’s agent, risk management, procurement strategy, programming, contract administration and strategic project consultancy.
Building Surveying
Our national building surveying teams deliver tailored, end-to-end solutions across every stage of the project lifecycle. They provide specialist advice on the acquisition, development, ownership, occupation, sustainable retrofit and disposal of individual assets and property portfolios across all sectors. Working closely with institutional clients throughout the UK and Europe, including commercial landlords, investors, banks and occupiers, they take the time to understand their unique business objectives and provide clear, strategic and commercially focused advice to support their property interests.

Rotations
Your placement may include a fixed seat or a rotation within the various Building Surveying teams or specialisms within Building and Project Consultancy. The number of rotations will depend on business requirements.
Day to day work

As a sandwich placement student, you'll also have regular opportunities to attend technical, business skills and personal development activities - including conferences, courses, lectures, networking and social events - which compliment both your practical experience and meet the theoretical requirements of your APC.
