Technical Project Manager (Contract) – London | Min. 8 Months We're looking for a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the day-to-day planning and delivery of multiple engineering projects, primarily within the water and wastewater sector. This minimum 8-month contract in London requires a strong engineering and project management background to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget, while meeting all standards and quality assurance procedures. What You'll Do: Lead and manage the planning and execution of engineering projects, aligning with scope, schedule, and budget. Develop clear technical and commercial documentation for project objectives and procurement. Identify and manage project risks, issues, and opportunities, engaging with all stakeholders. Ensure all project activities comply with established methodologies, standards, and quality procedures. Coordinate with various engineering disciplines to integrate technical expertise seamlessly. Provide regular, transparent reporting to programme teams and senior stakeholders for informed decision-making. What You'll Bring: 10+ years of post-graduate experience in a relevant engineering discipline. At least 3 years' experience in the water industry on projects aligned with this role. Demonstrated ability to operate at a senior level. Extensive leadership experience, managing teams of 10 or more in comparable settings. Proven ability to provide thought leadership and strategic oversight for technical and delivery excellence. Strong communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to present compelling and unambiguous documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Effective stakeholder management, balancing diplomacy with assertiveness. A customer-centric mindset, strong organizational skills, and ability to prioritize under pressure. Qualifications: Degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline. Chartered Status or equivalent (if applicable), and membership of a relevant professional institution.
