OverviewWe’re looking for a passionate and driven Employee Benefit Consultant (Healthcare) to join our team – someone who thrives on building strong client relationships and delivering expert, budget-conscious advice that makes a difference.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of a portfolio of corporate clients, driving profitability and expanding service offerings while ensuring exceptional client retention through proactive account management and renewals. You’ll also be quick to spot and seize new business opportunities, always delivering high-quality service to every stakeholder.

How you'll make an impact- Maintain and develop a portfolio of corporate clients, providing high-quality advice and consultancy.
- Ensure profitability and revenue growth by growing service offerings and lines of cover.
- Achieve high client retention through effective management and renewal strategies.
- Develop new business opportunities through referrals, professional connections, and internal networks.
- Deliver high-quality services to stakeholders.
- Lead renewal strategies and negotiations for existing clients.
- Exceed revenue targets through client retention and new business initiatives.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities and secure additional revenue streams.
- Negotiate service and fee proposals within approved protocols.
- Supervise and achieve budgetary targets, maintaining financial control over client portfolios.
- Identify and address potential unprofitable clients.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Desirable:
- Hold the relevant professional qualifications as required for individual role: Group Risk (ie CII GR1); Healthcare (CII IF7)
- Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of healthcare and group risk (i.e., products, policies, insurance market and related issues) through appropriate industry exams and CPD
- Technical knowledge and understanding
Required:
- Developing core consulting skills around communication, questioning, listening, report writing and presenting
- Proficiency in using Microsoft suite
- Awareness of the regulatory requirements in respect of ‘advised’ and ‘non-advised’ sales.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally
- Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work, including ability to produce high standards of documentation
- Effective negotiation skills with stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and project management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and tackle problems efficiently.
