PR Account Executive (Travel PR)

Our team is passionate about the travel industry and works with some of the best destinations and brands in the business. Our new office, located next to Liverpool Street Station, is designed for hybrid brainstorms, meetings and team get-togethers.
Job overview: As an Account Executive, you will support the wider team and play a key role in media relations and pitching, writing, and social media communications. You'll be monitoring and creating media lists, putting together activity reports, writing releases, organizing and hosting events, selling in stories, and attending client meetings. Hosting media and keeping on top of journalistic needs and deadlines is integral to the role as well as arranging press trips. There is no typical day with us, but generally, working hours are 9:00-5:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Keep on top of the media (papers, magazines and online) to develop opportunities and create inspiring content.
- Monitoring and creating media lists
- Writing releases, organising, and hosting events
- Selling in stories
- Attending client meetings
- Hosting media and keeping on top of journalistic needs and deadlines
- Arranging press trips
- Joining brainstorms and developing ideas as a team
Here are the skills you'll need:
- General awareness of the travel and hospitality sector
- Some work experience in public relations or a related field with a minimum of 1 year of agency/PR experience
- Enthusiasm and desire to be involved in award-winning PR campaigns
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of influencer landscape and opportunities
- Excellent writing and presentation skills
- Good attention to detail, organization and confidence
- Resourceful and innovative
- Team player
- IT whizz
- A love of travel
- University degree
