Salary: £24,000 to £28,000 About the role and school A welcoming Early Years setting in Shepherd's Bush is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their team from June 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children in their early stages of learning and development. The successful Early Years Teaching Assistant will work closely with experienced staff to deliver engaging, play-based learning within a caring and supportive environment. The school is a well-regarded independent Early Years setting located in West London, known for its nurturing ethos and strong focus on child development. Staff work collaboratively to create a warm, inclusive atmosphere where children are encouraged to develop confidence, independence, and curiosity through creative learning opportunities. The leadership team is highly supportive and places a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing, professional growth, and maintaining positive relationships with families and the local community. This Early Years Teaching Assistant role would suit someone who is patient, proactive, and committed to helping young children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Job Responsibilities Support the class teacher and Early Years team in delivering engaging learning activities
Assist children with their social, emotional, and educational development through play-based learning
Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents across the setting
Observe and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to the class teacher where appropriate
Support with classroom preparation, resources, and daily routinesQualifications/Experience Experience as an Early Years Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role
Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
