PMLD Teacher

Our client, a highly respected educational institution in Islington, Greater London, is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Full-time PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) Teacher to join their dedicated team. As a PMLD Teacher , you will be responsible for designing and delivering individualised learning programmes that cater to the unique needs of each student. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including teaching assistants, therapists, and other specialists, to create a holistic and inclusive learning experience. Your primary focus will be to develop students' communication, social, and life skills, empowering them to reach their full potential.

In this role, you will:

• Assess students' individual needs and create tailored learning plans
• Implement a range of teaching strategies and resources to engage and support learners
• Monitor and record student progress, adapting teaching approaches as necessary
• Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure a consistent approach to learning and development
• Participate in regular professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in PMLD education

To be considered for this position, you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Proven experience working with students with profound and multiple learning difficulties
• In-depth knowledge of specialised teaching strategies and assistive technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A positive, patient, and empathetic approach to working with students with complex needs
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment

Our client offers a competitive salary range of £160 to £191.29 per day, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
