About The Role

Knight Frank is looking to hire a talented and highly motivated DevOps Engineer to join our internal DevOps team, based in our Baker Street HQ.

Role:

We are seeking a proactive and innovative DevOps Engineer to join our internal DevOps team at our headquarters in Central London. In this pivotal role, you will design, build, and maintain robust software development pipelines while championing automation and continuous improvement. Your expertise will be critical in bridging the gap between development and operations, ensuring efficient and secure delivery across multiple environments.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement automated build, test, and deployment pipelines from source control through production.
  • Build, configure, and maintain development tools and infrastructure to support scalable software delivery.
  • Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to capture needs and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Serve as a technical product owner by contributing to medium-to-long term strategic planning.
  • Continuously assess and optimize development and release processes to enhance efficiency and performance.
  • Develop tools and scripts (using PowerShell, Python, and YAML) that support automation and process standardization.
  • Conduct thorough testing, code reviews, and system analysis to maintain high standards in code quality and performance.
  • Ensure robust cybersecurity measures are embedded in all systems to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Participate in project planning and decision-making, ensuring smooth rollout and integration of new features.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges and implement effective fixes and updates as needed.
Key Experience Required:
  • Education & Certification : Minimum 2:1 degree in Computer Science or related field; Microsoft Azure Fundamentals Certification is a plus.
  • Cloud & DevOps Expertise : Proficient in Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines, CI/CD methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code tools like Bicep.
  • Programming & Scripting : Skilled in PowerShell, Python, YAML configuration, and version control with Git.
  • Systems & Monitoring : Experience with Windows/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Stack.
  • Design & Security : Strong in solution design, documentation, cybersecurity integration, and cross-functional collaboration
