Location: London
Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: Base salary of £52,000 with potential earnings up to £58,600 through bonuses, plus a £3,000 car allowance or company car.
Specific Hours: 40 hours per week
About the Role
Join our dedicated team as a Registered Manager for a 3-bed children's home in London. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and professional individual who shares our commitment to providing a positive environment for young people aged 11-17 exhibiting challenging behavior.
Main Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to children and young people residing in the home.
- Oversee all care services and manage day-to-day operations.
- Strategically plan for developments within the home.
- Lead and mentor staff to ensure the best possible care for each young person.
- Organize work patterns and facilitate care-focused training.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to enhance care standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of management experience in a relevant setting.
- NVQ Level 5 in Management and NVQ Level 3 in Caring for Children and Young People.
- Strong leadership, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of the Children's Act 1989 and Care Standards Act 2000.
- Understanding of safeguarding procedures.
Working Conditions
The Registered Manager is expected to arrange their own work rota, which may include evening, weekend, and night shifts. The role requires ensuring an appropriate staff presence to meet the childcare needs of the children and young people in the home.
