Year 1 Teacher - Tower Hamlets - January 2026
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join a well-established and welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets from January 2026. This school places a strong emphasis on early academic foundations, emotional wellbeing, and inclusive practice, ensuring that pupils feel confident and supported as they progress through Key Stage 1.
• Year 1 Teacher required on a full-time basis from January 2026

• Permanent opportunity beginning January 2026

Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
Supporting pupils’ transition from EYFS into Year 1
Creating a structured, nurturing classroom environment
Assessing progress and adapting teaching strategies
Working closely with colleagues and parents
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Secure knowledge of early reading, phonics, and numeracy
Strong classroom management skills
A child-centred and inclusive approach
Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing
