Tax Director - Treasury Tax | Big 4 | London / UK FlexibleA leading Big 4 firm is expanding its specialist Treasury Tax team and is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Director to play a key role in the continued growth of the practice.This is a specialist opportunity for someone with a strong Corporate Tax / Treasury Tax background who enjoys technically complex work, major transactions and working closely with senior stakeholders.The RoleAs a Tax Director, you will take a leading role across a broad range of treasury tax and corporate advisory work, supporting clients and Corporate Tax teams on complex financing, restructuring, M&A and international structuring matters.You will also have a significant role in developing the Treasury Tax offering, building relationships across the wider business and helping shape the direction of this growing specialist team.Key areas will include:Advising on UK loan relationships and derivative contracts, including the Disregard Regulations.Advising on related areas including Corporate Interest Restriction, Anti-Hybrids, Distributions and Withholding Tax.Providing senior technical input into M&A, financing, refinancing and debt restructuring projects.Supporting audit teams, tax authority enquiries and complex compliance and advisory assignments.Acting as a senior technical adviser to Corporate Tax teams and clients, translating complex legislation into clear, practical and commercially focused advice.Building strong relationships with senior clients and colleagues across the UK and wider Big 4 network.Leading technical discussions, developing junior talent and contributing to training and knowledge sharing.Helping to grow the Treasury Tax proposition, identifying opportunities and developing new client relationships.About YouYou will be a CTA, ACA, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualified Tax professional, operating at Senior Manager / Director level within a Big 4, Top 10 or strong specialist environment.You'll ideally bring:Strong Corporate Tax and accounting knowledge.Experience across Treasury Tax, financing, loan relationships and/or derivatives.A strong technical understanding of the UK tax legislation relevant to financing transactions.Experience working on complex advisory, transaction or restructuring projects.The ability to operate confidently with Partners, senior clients and other senior stakeholders.Strong commercial awareness and the ability to turn complex technical issues into practical advice.A genuine interest in developing a specialist area and helping to grow a business, rather than simply delivering technical work.Treasury Tax experience is highly desirable, but this could also suit a strong Corporate Tax Senior Manager / Director with a genuine interest in developing further into this specialist area.The OpportunityThis is a chance to join a growing specialist Treasury Tax team within a Big 4 firm, with excellent exposure to complex transactions, senior clients and some of the most technically interesting areas of Corporate Tax.Location is flexible across the UK, although regular visits to London or Leeds would be preferred.If you're a Tax Senior Manager or Director looking for a specialist role with the scope to build something and make a real impact, I'd be keen to speak with you. - Call Kevin on 07968 202512 - [email protected]
