Senior GI Pricing Actuary

MERJE are working with a very well known innovative Insurance brand, who are looking for a Senior General Insurance Actuary to operate in a newly created role in the business.

The incumbent will be tasked with firstly getting up to speed with the Pricing processes across the current business and how they operate across Risk and Market Pricing. You will then be poised to challenge the status quo in terms of technological advancements and innovations that can be implemented to improve the structures, profitability and ultimately pull away from competitors in the market! You will ultimately shape the course of this role in the short-medium term through the recommendations you can make.

You will be joining a market leading and well established insurer, but with the challenge of offering something new.

So we're looking for someone with strong technical expertise across Pricing, but also that personable quality of being able to make suggestions for improvements and lead the activity to get there.

• You must be a Qualified Actuary
• Have extensive General Insurance pricing - technical and risk pricing.
• Management expertise is not essential, but something that could be introduced to the role over time.
• Stakeholder management at the senior and c-suite level.
• A drive for change and innovation - this role is critical to business improvements.
