The Opportunity

We are working with a well-established insurance business looking to appoint an experienced Specialist Commercial Insurance Broker to join its growing team.

This is a fully remote position offering a basic salary of up to £75,000 plus a performance-related bonus.

We are looking for an experienced broker who has developed genuine expertise within a specific niche or specialist sector and has a track record of winning, developing and retaining commercial insurance clients within that market.

Typical policies will have premiums ranging from approximately £2,000 to £15,000, so we are looking for someone comfortable developing relationships with SME and mid-market clients and providing a consultative approach to their insurance requirements.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will ideally have:

* 5+ years' commercial insurance broking experience

* A strong specialism within a niche industry or market

* Experience selling commercial insurance policies with typical premiums of £2,000–£15,000

* A demonstrable track record of winning new business

* Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products

* Experience developing and managing long-term client relationships

* The ability to identify opportunities and generate new business within their specialist sector

* Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills

* A commercial and entrepreneurial approach to developing a book of business

Other specialist sectors will absolutely be considered.

The key requirement is that you can demonstrate genuine knowledge of your market, established relationships and a successful track record of developing insurance business within your chosen niche.

The Role

You will be given the autonomy to develop business within your specialist market, identifying prospective clients and building relationships with key decision-makers.

You'll work consultatively with clients to understand their businesses, risks and insurance requirements before developing appropriate solutions.

Alongside winning new clients, you'll build and develop long-term relationships, creating a sustainable and profitable book of business.

You'll have the backing, resources and market presence of an established insurance organisation while retaining the freedom to develop your specialist area.
