This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join a supportive, patient-centred team within a high-volume, dynamic service.

The successful candidate will independently perform a range of basic cardiology investigations and undertake structured, work-based training across a broad spectrum of non-invasive diagnostic techniques. The role is full-time (37.5 hours per week), working 9:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The post holder will primarily be based within the Cardiac Department (Suite 6) and the cardiac catheter laboratories at the Denmark Hill site, with flexibility to work across other King’s College Hospital sites as required.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role include delivering a comprehensive non-invasive cardiac diagnostics service, including performing and analysing ECGs, ambulatory monitoring, and ECG interpretation, as well as assisting with Exercise Tolerance Testing, Head-Up Tilt Testing, and Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.

The post holder will maintain professional conduct at all times, working collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support and achieve the department’s vision and objectives.

They will adhere to all Trust, professional, and local policies and procedures to ensure the provision of high-quality, evidence-based diagnostic services and accurate reporting.

In addition, the role carries a general duty of care for the health, safety, and wellbeing of patients, colleagues, and visitors, in accordance with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all relevant legislation, alongside any specific risk management and clinical governance responsibilities associated with the post.
