Head of Physical Education The Role

A successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Havering is seeking to appoint an energetic and inspirational Head of Physical Education from September 2026.

As Head of Physical Education, you will:

• Lead, manage and inspire the PE department across KS3 KS5
• Drive high standards in both practical and theoretical PE at GCSE and A Level
• Develop and expand a strong extracurricular and competitive sports programme
• Increase student engagement and participation in clubs, fixtures and tournaments
• Identify and nurture sporting talent while promoting inclusion and teamwork
• Organise sports events, enrichment activities and whole-school competitions
• Contribute to wider school leadership and strategic development
