Manager, Actuarial Systems

Key Responsibilities: Lead and line-manage a team of actuarial modellers and developers Oversee the design, build, testing and rollout of actuarial tools and modelling infrastructure Translate business requirements into technical specifications and delivery plans Own the development workflow and set coding best practices (Python, C++, VBA or similar) Engage in peer review and drive a culture of quality, performance and continuous improvement Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of scalable, future-proof models About You: Qualified life actuary with strong model development experience and a passion for technical systems Proven management experience – leading teams, mentoring junior staff, and delivering projects Hands-on coding skills – ideally in Tyche, or other platforms such as MoSes, RiskAgility or bespoke actuarial tools Deep understanding of life and health insurance products Skilled at balancing hands-on delivery with team leadership Strong communicator, confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Organised, delivery-focused, and proactive in identifying and driving improvements The Opportunity: This is a rare opportunity to step into a role where you can lead with impact while remaining deeply involved in technical actuarial modelling.
