Associate Director, HR (Country Manager)

About this role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to provide HR partnership and consultation to Gartner’s UK locations. This role will lead as a HR Business Partner with a client group as well as partner with other HRP and other HR Centers of Excellence (Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, etc.) to ensure Gartner can successfully hire, develop, and retain top talent in these key locations.
Workforce Planning & Organizational Development – Analyze and provide guidance on the business unit’s current organizational state and future requirements. Craft and revise role profiles as needed to facilitate business planning. Design and implement solutions to meet business needs.
Succession Planning – Support leadership preparation for business unit annual talent review sessions. Lead business unit talent reviews in order to identify top talent and succession planning strategies. Recommend and implement retention strategies to minimize unwanted attrition, particularly in business unit critical roles, specialty skill sets, and in highly competitive critical marketplaces.
Employee Relations – Minimize risk to organization by actively responding to and addressing associate concerns in a timely manner. Conduct complete investigations and make recommendations based on findings/facts. Escalate issues/concerns to HR leadership and business unit leadership as appropriate. Collaborate with legal and outside counsel as needed to address complex or highly sensitive issues.
Recruitment & Retention – Partner with Recruiting to ensure a conscious, deliberate approach to attracting and retaining top talent from both inside and outside the organization.
Compensation & Benefits – Lead annual salary, bonus/commission, and equity planning process with business unit leadership, ensuring highest performers are compensated in line with their business impact and contributions. Provide ongoing global compensation analyses and recommend market adjustments as needed to ensure top talent is retained. Collaborate with global compensation and benefits partners to drive participation in annual benefits enrollment processes.
Country Manager - Provide local expertise to guide best practices and ensure legal compliance in support of people programs and processes. Lead internal communications for the country, acting as a focal point for people announcements, policies and procedures. Proactively manage legal risk and continually ensure compliance with local labor laws considering the whole life cycle of an associate. Build and maintain effective, credible partnerships to educate HR Partners, managers and associates on a variety of employee related issues. Be a partner for the HR Partner community on associate initiatives.
What you’ll need:
Undergraduate degree strongly preferred; graduate degree(s) in related fields ideal
Progressive HR experience, ideally in global, high growth companies
Proven HR Business Partner skills including employee relations, employment law, employee engagement, succession planning, comp, performance management, workforce planning, recruitment, and training and development.
Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to identify areas of opportunity and design and deliver HR programs and strategies that effectively address business issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Exceptional judgment and discretion; ability to manage highly sensitive situations effectively
Ability to influence leaders and collaborate across the organization
