Year 1 LSA

We are working with a fantastic primary school in Ealing, seeking a caring and committed Learning Support Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with high-complex needs.

This is a long-term role providing dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with high-complex needs, behavioural challenges, and additional learning requirements. If you have patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for helping young children thrive, this could be an excellent opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide full-time, 1:1 support for a child with complex behavioural, emotional, and learning needs
Help the child develop emotional regulation strategies and positive learning behaviours
Support the class teacher and SENCO in delivering tailored interventions and personalised classroom strategies
Create a calm, structured, and nurturing environment to ensure the child feels safe, included, and engaged
Celebrate small steps of progress, encouraging confidence, independence, and self-esteem
Person Specification:

Experience supporting children with high-complex needs, SEND, or behavioural challenges, ideally in EYFS/KS1
A calm, patient, and proactive approach, able to de-escalate challenging situations effectively
Strong communication skills to work closely with teachers, parents, and support staff
Above all, a compassionate and committed individual who wants to make a meaningful difference in a child’s life
