The Role

The successful candidate will work alongside experienced colleagues to deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across the Year 3 curriculum, helping pupils develop confidence, independence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning. The successful candidate will:
Teach a Year 3 class across the full primary curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, and foundation subjects.
Plan and deliver creative, engaging, and well-structured lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
Develop pupils’ knowledge, skills, confidence, and independence through high-quality teaching.
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Use effective assessment strategies to monitor progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
Adapt teaching approaches to support pupils with different abilities, including SEND and additional learning needs.
Encourage curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and a growth mindset.
Develop strong relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues to support children’s wellbeing and achievement.
Contribute to enrichment opportunities, trips, clubs, and wider school activities.
Participate fully in the pastoral and community life of the school.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a candidate who:
Holds QTS or is currently completing teacher training and working towards QTS.
Has experience teaching or supporting learning within Key Stage 2.
Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for primary education.
Can inspire young learners through creative, engaging, and well-planned lessons.
Is committed to supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
Uses inclusive teaching strategies to encourage participation and confidence.
Is reflective, enthusiastic, and committed to continuous professional development.
Works collaboratively and contributes positively to a supportive team environment.
Is excited to take part in school events, enrichment activities, and the wider life of the school.
