Experienced SEN Teaching Assistant - Southall Location: Southall, West London Role: SEN Teaching Assistant Contract: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience Reeson Education are currently working with a welcoming and supportive school in Southall who are looking to appoint an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant who is looking to make a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs. The role would also be particularly well suited to aspiring teachers looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training. The Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the school's SEN team to provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs. Your responsibilities will include: Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development Helping to implement individual learning and support plans Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to meet pupils' needs Encouraging positive behaviour and developing pupils' confidence Supporting pupils to become increasingly independent Assisting with classroom activities and creating an inclusive learning environment The Ideal Candidate The school is looking for someone who: Has previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within an SEN setting Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Is patient, caring and resilient Can build strong relationships with pupils and staff Has excellent communication and teamwork skills Is proactive and willing to get involved in all aspects of school life Is looking to develop their career within education This role would be particularly suited to graduates and aspiring teachers who want to gain substantial classroom experience before embarking on teacher training.
