A specialist SEN school in Walthamstow East London is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025 . Rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, the school offers a supportive and inclusive setting where students aged 11–16 receive the tailored support they need to succeed

The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will support students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, and moderate learning difficulties . Your work will involve both 1:1and small group support , helping students engage with the curriculum, build confidence, and overcome barriers to learning.

This role is perfect for graduates in Psychology, Education , or related fields, or for individuals with experience in mentoring, youth work, or care . Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential.

Ideal Candidate – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:

• A 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology or related subjects advantageous)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Resilient, adaptable, and calm in challenging situations
• Previous experience with SEN or in youth support roles is desirable but not required
• Must have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available)
