Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £42,000 to £50,000 per annum

Are you a passionate graphic designer with the drive to inspire the next generation of creatives? At the London College of Contemporary Arts (LCCA), we’re seeking an innovative Lecturer in Graphic Design to join our dynamic academic team.

Why join LCCA?

LCCA is part of the Global University Systems (GUS) network – an international group of higher education institutions united by a passion for accessible, industry-relevant education. At LCCA, we put students at the heart of everything we do, blending progressive teaching with real-world application.

As part of our team, you’ll enjoy:

  • Professional growth through CPD, PGCert HE, and Fellowship opportunities.
  • Networking with leading industry professionals.
  • Regular social events and a supportive, creative culture.
  • Training, digital badges, workshops, and development programmes.
  • My Rewards Hub – discounts, deals, and employee perks.
  • Eyecare vouchers and access to a dedicated Employee Assistance Programme.

The role

Graphic design is at the core of LCCA’s DNA. As a Lecturer, you’ll:

  • Deliver engaging, practice-based teaching across areas such as branding, digital, UX/UI, motion graphics, editorial, and 2D/3D design.
  • Inspire students to challenge their creativity and push the boundaries of contemporary design.
  • Develop and shape curriculum content aligned with industry trends and practices.
  • Support student employability through live briefs, industry links, and portfolio development.
  • Contribute to research, scholarship, and professional practice in design and digital media.

Teaching at LCCA is flexible and dynamic, with classes taking place during weekdays, evenings, and weekends in line with our blended learning model.

About you

We’re looking for a motivated design professional who combines academic expertise with industry experience. Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • A relevant BA (Hons) and preferably a postgraduate qualification in graphic design or a related discipline.
  • Strong industry experience in branding, digital, UI/UX, motion graphics, and editorial.
  • Teaching experience in higher education, ideally in the UK HE sector.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects) and Figma.
  • A passion for inclusive and innovative teaching, with the ability to inspire students from diverse backgrounds.

Desirable qualities include:

  • A teaching qualification (e.g., PGCert HE, Fellowship of the HEA).
  • Knowledge of emerging practices such as AI in design, AR/VR, or coding for creatives.
  • Experience with cross-disciplinary collaboration (e.g., with fashion, business, or music)

Ready to inspire the future of design?

If you’re excited by the idea of shaping tomorrow’s creative leaders while continuing to grow your own professional practice, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and bring your creativity to life at LCCA.
