Accounts Payable Assistant
Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a respected and well-established organisation based in Loughton to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant.
As Accounts Payable Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the accounts payable function. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, and supporting the wider finance team in delivering an efficient and accurate service.
Your responsibilities as the Accounts Payable Assistant will include:
- Process a high volume of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Match, batch, and code invoices.
- Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
- Prepare and process payment runs.
- Handle supplier queries and maintain strong working relationships.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Support ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
To be considered for the role of Accounts Payable Assistant, you will need:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or similar finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
- Good knowledge of Excel and finance systems.
