About our Team :

The Journals Editorial department is a vibrant and dynamic team of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about research and publishing. We develop and grow a diverse portfolio of high-quality, valuable journals across the social sciences, STEM fields, and various business models, whilst adapting to a changing market. Our collaborative efforts with external editors, society partners, and internal colleagues in editorial, marketing, and production roles ensure the growth, success, and long-term sustainability of our program. Our friendly and welcoming team is dedicated to driving excellence and fostering a supportive environment.

Could you be our new Research Integrity Associate Editor? Are you?

  • Experienced in Journals Academic publishing or academic research and understand peer review processes and workflows?
  • Experienced in assessing and evaluating content and/or a subject matter expert?
  • Interested in pursuing a career in research integrity and publishing ethics?
  • Familiar with online manuscript submission systems (preferably ScholarOne)?
  • Excellent at prioritising and adaptable to an evolving environment?
  • Highly organized and detail orientated?
  • A strong and collaborative communicator, with strong problem solving skills?

Your new role:

  • Assist in resolving publication ethics cases in line with COPE guidelines and Sage policies.
  • Collaborate with journal authors, editors, reviewers and institutions to resolve cases.
  • Advance cases when necessary ensuring that key internal stakeholders are informed of situations that may pose a risk to Sage.
  • Identify potential improvements in workflows for publication ethics investigations.
  • Organise large volumes of critical and confidential information following GDPR guidelines.
  • Maintain successful relationships with global Editorial, Peer Review and Legal teams.
  • Contribute to internal discussions on publication ethics and develop internal and external resources around research integrity and peer review.
